Home Plus, the Korean branch of Tesco PLC recently launched campaign that included a series of virtual stores on subway platforms. The backlit displays allowed consumers to browse and shop with their smartphones by scanning QR codes associated with each product. Once scanned the product could then be placed in a virtual basket and delivered straight to their doors.
